Ten GCSAA members chosen for Bernhard Academy Links to Success United Kingdom 2027
Ten members of the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) have been chosen to take part in the Bernhard Academy Links to Success United Kingdom 2027 programme, which will see them travel to Harrogate, England, to attend BTME 2027 from 26–28 January.
The initiative builds on a long-standing partnership between Bernhard and the GCSAA. For more than 20 years, Bernhard has supported 10 British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association (BIGGA) members each year to attend the GCSAA Conference and Trade Show in the United States, helping them broaden their professional knowledge and international networks. The Links to Success United Kingdom programme now offers GCSAA members the opportunity to experience the UK turf industry in a similar way.
“At Bernhard Academy, we believe that some of the most impactful learning happens when professionals step outside their everyday environment and experience new perspectives” said Sami Strutt, Education Director at Bernhard Academy. “We are delighted to welcome the GCSAA delegation to the UK and provide opportunities to exchange ideas, build networks and learn from some of the most respected venues and professionals in the game. We look forward to creating a memorable experience that leaves a lasting impact both personally and professionally.”
As part of the programme, delegates will experience some of the UK’s most iconic golfing venues. The itinerary includes visits to traditional links courses, behind-the-scenes access to an Open Championship venue and the opportunity to explore the heritage of the course that hosted the first Ryder Cup.
The Bernhard Academy Links to Success United Kingdom 2027 delegation includes:
- Miles Carlson, CGCS, in Fayetteville, Ark.
- Ashley Davidovich, superintendent at Windermere Golf & Country Club in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
- Kyle DeNuys, CGCS, regional director of agronomy at Troon Golf in Millsboro, Del.
