The Bernhard Academy, Haverhill, UK

The Bernhard Academy Haverhill facility is a hub and base for the Academy where we deliver training to our global distribution network, it is attached to the Bernhard and Company manufacturing facility. This hub supports practical workshops/courses.

The Bernhard Academy, Moortown, Leeds, UK

Moortown Golf Club is a golf club located in Alwoodley, near Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. It was founded in 1909, and the championship golf course was designed by Alister MacKenzie. In 1929, Moortown hosted the second Ryder Cup matches, the first to be played in Great Britain. The rich history and championship turf is a great reason for selecting Moortown as an Academy hub.

Address for cutting unit set-up courses (practical): The Fairway, Leeds LS17 7PE

Directions: Follow the sat-nav direction and when you get onto the residential road called The Fairway, you will come across some gates to enter through. Follow the road along to the right at which point you will reach the maintenance facility. Park up at any of the free spaces to the right of the main facility.

Address for management courses: The Clubhouse, Harrogate Rd (A61), Alwoodley, Leeds LS17 7DB

Directions: As you approach, turn immediately left just after Shell Garage (sharp turn) onto the private drive which takes you to the entrance gates of the golf club. Please park in any of the parking spaces available.

The Bernhard Academy, Norwich, UK

Royal Norwich has an 18-hole course and 6-hole course which are both designed by leading course designers European Golf Design, along with state-of-the-art practice facilities including range, bunkers and putting green. This is a premier golf course based in Norfolk and a great selection for the Academy hub.

All courses being held at the Royal Norwich Academy hub (which is their maintenance facility and training facility in one area).

The Bernhard Academy, Gleneagles, Scotland UK

Gleneagles is one of the greatest names in the world of golf. With three of the top golf courses in Scotland and as recent hosts of The Ryder and Solheim Cups, it’s easy to understand why we have chosen Gleneagles to be one of our Academy hubs.

Address for Cutting Unit set-up: “The Bothy” Gleneagles, Auchterarder

Directions: As you drive down the A9 coming from either Stirling or Perth, take the flyover to Gleneagles (A823). Coming from Stirling, it is the turnoff directly after the Shell Garage. Follow the road and as you reach the speed limit sign for 30MPH, take the immediate turn to the left and follow the road up between the Kings Course and the Wee Course. Drive carefully up the hill and as you go over the rise, look right to ensure no golfers are teeing off. Take the first turn to the right and park to your left where the maintenance teams vehicles are parked. Walk up to “The Bothy” where you will be welcomed by the team.

Directions: As you drive down the A9 coming from either Stirling or Perth, take the flyover to Gleneagles (A823). Coming from Stirling, it is the turnoff directly after the Shell Garage. At the top of the flyover turn left and follow the road towards Gleneagles. As you reach the 30MPH sign, continue slowly until you see the main entrance to your left clearly marked Gleneagles. Turn up the drive and you can find parking either to your immediate left in “the bullring” or further up the road to the right where there are limited spaces available. If you continue another 100 yards, turn right and park at the bottom car guest car park. Make your way by foot to The Dormy Clubhouse where the team will be ready to welcome you.

The Bernhard Academy, Oakmont, USA

Oakmont Country Club is a country club in the eastern United States, located mostly in Plum with only a very small portion of the property located in Oakmont, suburbs of Pittsburgh in western Pennsylvania. Known for it’s championship course, it’s a perfectly suited to be the first Academy hub in the US.
