Technical and Equipment Management Pathway
Abrasive Wheel Safety Certificate
Delivered in an online environment, this one-hour course will provide an understanding of the main risks associated with using abrasive wheels and ways to minimise and control the risks. The Abrasive Wheel Safety Certificate is required by anyone who uses abrasive wheels tools in the workplace. This certificate satisfies the training and awareness requirement of legislation and regulations including PUWER 1998 and the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974.
Cutting Unit Set Up And Sharpening Techniques
This one-day, hands-on, workshop will provide an understanding of the correct way to set up cutting units. Discover the principles of cutting units, how to take control of maintenance regimes, the correct use of grinders and how to get the best out of mowers to ensure the highest quality of cut. Gain confidence to effectively communicate with stakeholders about the importance of the maintenance facility and the impact it ultimately has on the playing surface.
Basic Machinery Maintenance
This one-day, hands on, workshop is ideal for anyone involved in the operation, supervision or maintenance of turfcare machinery. It will provide practical basic training to complete daily checks, make adjustments, fault find and undertake basic repairs.
