Matthew Axton
Matt joined the Bernhard Academy in June 2026. With a strong background in greenkeeping, he has successfully transitioned into an experienced turf machinery and golf course engineering professional.
His career spans both the UK and the Middle East, where he has held senior technical and management roles at some of the industry’s leading venues, including The Belfry and The Royal Golf Club in Bahrain. He has also gained valuable commercial experience as an After Sales Manager within a dealer network.
Matt played a key role in establishing the Turf Equipment Technicians Organisation (TETO), an active WhatsApp community that supports almost 400 sports turf machinery professionals promoting knowledge sharing, collaboration, and peer-to-peer support across the industry.
