Starting yesterday, the Bernhard Academy has been hosting its ‘Grinding Perfection and Cutting Unit Setup’ workshops in its facility at Moortown Golf Club – nearby to Harrogate Convention Centre.
The Bernhard Academy classes, available to book free of charge for those attending BTME 2024, as part of BIGGA’s (British and International Golf Greenkeepers Association) ‘Continue To Learn’ programme, were the first classes to become fully booked this year.
During these full-day classes, participants are gaining an understanding of the principles of cutting units and learn how to take control of a cutting unit maintenance regime. They’re learning the fundamentals of using grinders, getting the most out of their mowers, and ultimately ensuring the highest quality of cut year-round.
Furthermore, they are gaining first-hand knowledge of how to communicate the importance of the work that takes place in a maintenance facility to key stakeholders in their business, in addition to the impact that the work has on the end product (golf courses) that they are selling.
If you missed out on a spot at one of the ‘Continue To Learn’ Bernhard Academy courses, don’t fear, as the ‘Grinding Perfection and Cutting Unit Setup’ workshops are also available to book at later dates via the Bernhard Academy website. Simply click ‘Courses’ at the top of the page to find the closest workshop to you.
Bernhard and Company and the Bernhard Academy will be located in Hall 5, stand number 534, in the Harrogate Convention Centre this week at BTME for an unmissable mix of exhibition, education, conferences, and brilliant networking opportunities. As the distribution partner for the UK and Ireland, Bernhard and Company will also be exhibiting the latest Soil Scout technology at BTME.
