GCMA partnership brings high quality management training directly to local club teams
Knaresborough Golf Club has successfully hosted a bespoke leadership and management programme delivered on-site by the Bernhard Academy through the GCMA network.
Club Manager Alex McGuiness had been seeking high‑quality training without the cost and inconvenience of long-distance travel. By teaming up with regional GCMA contacts, he coordinated a four‑day course for 12 participants, bringing together greenkeeping and clubhouse staff for shared development.

The tailored course included modules on resilience, delegation, effective communication, change leadership, and understanding stakeholders. Feedback from attendees was exceptional, with many praising the engaging delivery and practical tools they could apply immediately.
